This will brief be (you can expect a proper newsletter in December), but if you’ve been following me on social media, you’ll know I snagged a BookBub Feature Deal, and that kicks off TODAY! BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

The Howling Dark is officially available for preorder on Kindle!

Keep in mind, the release date shown when you go to preorder is a placeholder (set to the farthest-out date it would allow during setup). Could that end up being the actual release date? Maybe! It could also be several months earlier, though. In any case, I can guarantee the book will be out in 2026, but I won’t be hitting my original release goal of Spring 2026 (barring a miraculous boost in speed from me).

So why am I doing this now, before having a set release date? In all honesty, it’s to take advantage of the extra traffic the BookBub deal will send to my page. I want people to see I have another book coming soon and have the option to claim a copy as theirs right away. This is an opportunity to reach a ton of new readers, so I’m trying to make the most of it!

Once I’ve finished this current round of revisions and have assessed how much work needs to be done in the next and final round before line/copy edits, that’s when I’ll set a release date in stone.

I’m still unsure if I’ll run paperback preorders. But if I do, that’ll be much closer to release. But hey, if you wanna be one of the first to join the pack, go ahead and preorder yourself a digital copy! Might want to hold on to your receipt in case I decide to do a preorder campaign, too.

This is also a good time to remind you that you can read the first three chapters of The Howling Dark on my Patreon for as little as a $1! These are second draft chapters, so keep in mind that they’re bound to change a wee bit between this and the final version of the story.
